The student conference is a one week long extra curricular event for university students and academics to engage into an interdisciplinary dialogue and exchange on challenges to reconstruction and reconciliation in post war Iraq by collaboratively reviewing scientific findings and developing ideas on how young people, academia and the wider society in Ninevah and Iraq can contribute to reaching the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The conference took place from 6-10 March 2022 at Mosul University campus. As part of the conference about 400 students from all academic disciplines worked in about 30 interdisciplinary, problem and SDG-oriented workshops, that were carefully prepared by professors and lecturers from Iraq, Germany and Austria. Results of the workshops were exhibited and discussed with regard to possible applications and policy considerations with the University presidency, professionals and policy makers in a big final public conference event.
